Barend (Barry) Becker is an award winning Tasmanian landscape photographer who has travelled extensively to remote and wild places in his work as a meteorologist with Australia’s Bureau of Meteorology.
Barry is one of the lucky few people to have spent time living and working in Antarctica, spending a total of two years at Davis and Casey Stations with the Australian Antarctic Program. He has also spent time on a number of other remote island locations including Macquarie Island, 1500km south of Tasmania, and Willis Island in the Coral Sea 450km off the far North Queensland Coast.
